Find answers to the most common questions about organising competitions with FishAndYou.
Log in or create an account, then click "Create my competition". Enter your competition details (name, dates, area, rules). Anglers will register and pay €5 incl. VAT via the FishAndYou app.
€5 incl. VAT per participant, charged at registration. No cost to you: FishAndYou handles payments and you don't pay anything upfront.
They register and declare their catches via the FishAndYou app (available on the App Store and Play Store). Ranking and refereeing are managed in real time.
Download the FishAndYou app, create an account or log in, then browse open competitions. Choose your competition, read the rules and confirm your registration (€5 incl. VAT). You can then declare your catches from the app during the competition.
The ranking updates in real time: catches validated by the organiser (or according to the competition rules) are counted immediately. The organiser has a refereeing module to validate or reject catches. You can follow the ranking on the website or in the app.
Yes. From your competition edit page (Data tab), you can download the list of participants and catches, as well as a photo export. Download links are available in your organiser area.

In your competition edit page (back office), you can enable or set in particular:
• Team competition: participants register as teams.
• Hide ranking: visible only to the organiser.
• Hide catch photos: anti-cheating (anglers cannot see others’ photos).
• Fishing zone on map: define allowed waters (interactive map).
• Multi-date competition: challenge over several dates with overall ranking.
• Real-time payouts (Stripe): set up your bank details; paid entries are credited to your account.
• Bonus and quota: bonus points per species, minimum quota, size bonus (per round or overall).
• Refereeing type: autonomous angler, referee involved, or hybrid.
• Ranking mode: none, sum of places, or sum of points per round; per-species ranking available.
• Automatic validation of catches (depending on competition type).
• Max number of participants, custom rates and categories, sponsors, QR code.
When declaring a catch, gallery access is blocked by default: the angler must take the photo at that moment to limit cheating.
